Dibencozide, also known as adenosylcobalamin, is one of the better absorbed forms of B-12. Vitamin B-12 does not generally have side effects even at higher doses. Many of the B vitamins at high doses do have temporary side effects which disappear when the vitamin is withdrawn. If any of these symptoms would develop, it could be difficult for a parent to detect, such as numbness, tingling, etc. One milligram for a 1 year old is a fair amount but wouldn't cause me inordinate concern. Increased appitite in a growing child may be a desirable effect. I do wonder, however, why the child is being supplemented with this vitamin and at this dosage. A modification of the diet is often the better route to improved health.
e.g weed. effect: gets you high side effect: cancer the drugs effect is the intentional effect of the drug. the side-effect is the unintentional effect. eg: pain medication's effect is to ease pain.. it's side-effect is that it often times will make you dizzy. you're not taking it to get dizzy, you're taking it to eliminate pain. therefor the dizziness is the side-effect.
