You should carry no more than 10% of your bodyweight. For example if you weigh 45kg you should only have a 4.5kg bag at the absolute maximum.

If you carry more than this (such as 6kg) you will be in danger of seriously injuring your back and could get scoliosis or other back related injuries. The best thing to do is to try and leave as much stuff in lockers or at home. Hope it helps!
