Well, I don't know if a cow produces THAT much saliva, but really it's because of the fact that she tends to instinctively regurgitate and chew cud. Saliva helps break down the partly digested matter a bit more before it's reswallowed and redigested in the rumen.

Does a cow have salivary glands?

They most certainly do, and large ones at that. They need to produce saliva to help create an adequate buffer for the rumen and to make it much easier to swallow the kind of food they eat whole. It is estimated that an adult cow produces around 200 L (some say between 40 to 150 L) of saliva a day.

Can you get a heroin contact high from sweat and saliva?

It is highly unlikely to experience a heroin contact high from sweat or saliva. The drug would need to be consumed or injected to enter the bloodstream and produce its psychoactive effects. Sweat and saliva do not contain enough heroin to lead to a high.

How many liters of hydrogen gas are needed to react with CS2 to produce 2.5L of CH4 at STP?

The balanced equation for the reaction between hydrogen gas (H2) and carbon disulfide (CS2) to produce methane (CH4) is: 4H2 + CS2 → 4H2S + CH4. This means that for every 4 moles of hydrogen gas, 1 mole of methane is produced. Since 1 mole of any gas at STP occupies 22.4 liters, you would need 5.6 liters of hydrogen gas to produce 2.5 liters of methane.

How many paste tomatoes do you need to make a qt?

A 1/2 bushel box of tomatoes weighs approximately 25 pounds. 25 pounds of Roma tomatoes produce approximately 11 liters of strained juice and pulp. This 11 liters will need to reduce down to about 4-5 liters to make tomato paste. 4 -1/2 liters equals 4.75 quarts. So to make 1 quart you need approximately 6-7 pounds of tomatoes.
