A fruit diet is a diet that can be classified as a detox diet that consists of consuming only fruit. Many people do this type of diet to cleanse their system of toxins and fat. Because fruits contain a high amount of fiber, the body will get cleansed. Once the toxins and wastes are cleaned out of the system, a person can look and feel better. This type of diet should only be a short term diet plan because doing it long term, a person will be losing many vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that are vital to a person's body.
