  • Bake goodies and bring them to work or school.

These are only a few of your choices. If you want to get rid of it in a more creative way then go ahead as long as it is out of the house before you begin. Just get it out of the way and you will be putting yourself at a serious advantage.

Principal Two: Plan for good foods that you can have on your new diet.

The bottom line is that if you feel deprived on your new diet you will cheat. Maybe not today, maybe not on day 10, but eventually you will. The best and simplest way to make sure that you do not feel deprived is to have foods that you enjoy on hand that you can enjoy on your diet. This one is simple. Begin by making a list of all of your favorite foods. Now circle all of the ones you can have on your diet, and find ways to put them into your meals and as snacks.

I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that you will never want for a bar of chocolate, but you will feel good most of the time when you do this. My list looks something like this:

  • Chocolate of all kinds
  • Asian Pears
  • Peas
  • Buttercream
  • Apple Crumb
  • Baked Ziti

Now obviously most chocolate had to go and the pears were basically a freebie. Others, like the ziti, could be modified to work, so don't discount that option.

There you have it. If you just do those two things you will find that getting on your diet is much easier, as is staying on it.
