If you mean in the clone wars the movie, then by all means no.However if you are talking about overall, then I do not Know if he dies in the clone wars the TV series.

I think he could as in episode 3 commander appo commands the 501st

In the Star Wars Movies Rex did not exist ,but in the cartoon Star Wars The Clone Wars he does exists and has not died yet. Now I am positive that he is going to die in the third Star Wars movie as one of the clones on the Death Star or in the order 66 because the Separatist does not have all control over clones.

Now the T-Rex or a dinosaurs name will definitely die because of the extinction and every animal hasn't to die sometime. I'm not saying they're not extinct. I believe they're alive today
