Most types of animals (though not the actual species) we see today lived during the time of the dinosaurs (about 230 - 65 million years ago). Dinosaurs were the prominent land animals. Mammals have been on earth about as long as dinosaurs, since the mid- to late Triassic. Birds, descendants of dinosaurs, have been around since the late Jurassic. Other familiar reptiles, such as lizards, snakes, turtles, and crocodiles were also present during the time of the dinosaurs (snakes being the latest to show up in the fossil record, during the late Jurassic - early Cretaceous). And, of course, there were plentiful arthropods (insects, Spiders, millipedes, etc.), fish, shellfish, corals, etc. Other creatures no longer on earth that were living during the time of the dinosaurs include many different forms of marine reptiles, such as plesiosaurs, mosasaurs, and ichthyosaurs, and the flying reptiles, pterosaurs. All of these types of animals died out when dinosaurs went extinct at the end of the Cretaceous.
No! Although this is a common mistake, all dinosaurs were land animals. All animals that lived in the sea at the same time as the dinosaurs weren't actually classed as dinosaurs even though they have similarities :)
Yes, all animals we have now lived then, just some that lived then have gone extinct so we don't have them now.
California was under a shallow sea during the time that dinosaurs lived. Dinosaurs lived on land, so none lived in California.
There were many animals that coexisted with dinosaurs. There were mutlituberculate and marsupial mammals, such as Ptiloduc, Didelphodon, and Alphadon. There were pterosaurs in the air and relatives of modern crocodiles in freshwater habitats. Some crocodile like animals lived strictly on land at that time. Lizards, frogs, and salamanders lived alongside dinosaurs. And most invertebrate groups that exist today had representatives alive at the time of the dinosaurs.

No, dinosaurs lived during the Mesozoic era, which occurred before the Cenozoic era. Dinosaurs were a diverse group of reptiles that ruled the Earth during the Mesozoic era, but they went extinct before the Cenozoic era began.
No. There was no animal that vaguely resembled a human at all. Mammals that lived at the time of the dinosaurs were small, shrew-like animals :) But monkeys are awesome.
Some dangerous dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic period include Allosaurus, a large predatory theropod dinosaur, as well as Ceratosaurus, Dilophosaurus, and Torvosaurus. These dinosaurs were apex predators and hunted other animals for food.
the paleozioc was the age of dinosaurs. the first small mammals first appeared in this time
Dinosaurs could not not fly but pterosaurs lived during the dinosaurs age and they could fly. pterosaurs are not flying dinosaurs they are flying reptiles that lived at the same time as dinosaurs. Some examples of Pterosaurs are: Pterodon Pterodactlus Hopee this helpsss! from Megggannn
Dinosaurs lived when Adam was alive in the Bible. The Bible says God created all animals. Then Noah must've seen them when he led 2 in an ark. So, BC.
The dinosaurs, those giant lizard creatures, dominated the face of Earth for about 165 million years. This period of time is called Mesozoic Era, and during this time the planet suffered several violent changes.
