All of the largest dinosaurs were sauropods (meaning that they were herbivores with long necks and small heads, similar to Apatosaurus or Brontosaurus). The four heaviest dinosaurs (which include the two longest dinosaurs) are listed here:

1. Amphicoelias (Also the longest)

Unfortunately, all that this massive dinosaur is known from is a single upper leg bone found more than one hundred years ago. It was so poorly preserved that it no longer exists, and so it is only known from drawings made by the paleontologist who discovered it. From his notes, it is estimated to have been between 130 and 200 feet long, and could have weighed up to 122 tons (more than half the 200 ton weight of a blue whale)!

About 115 feet long, and weighed up to 90 tons.
