Dinosaurs were reptiles that lived 245 to 65 million years ago. Some ate plants, some ate meat, lots ate each other. They are not lizards, even though the name dinosaur means terrible lizard. They could not fly or live in the water (so pterodatyls, plesiosaurs, icthyosaurs, etc were not dinosaurs). They varied greatly in size, some were longer than tennis courts, some were no taller than your knee.
Renesaurus .............. ;)
who knows and cares about dinosaurs and ice cream
I am not totally sure but I think the brontosaurus has the longest neck of all the dinosaurs.
There are no live dinosaurs, the last one died about 65 million years ago. Birds are thought to be their nearest relatives, so it's best to study them instead.
Sauroposeidon is considered one of the tallest dinosaurs, estimated to have been around 60 feet tall. Its long neck and legs contributed to its impressive height.
We don't know for sure. The asteroid theory is one example of many theories. Some scientists think one asteroid wasn't enough to kill them all, while others don't think an asteroid killed them at all. We honestly do not know.
