Meta comes from the Greek prefix and preposition meta, which means “after” or “beyond.” Taur is a word to describe centaur-like creatures. Taurs can have human upper-halves or anthro-animal-like upper halves, but the lower part of their bodies will always be some kind of animal or quadruped being with an upper humanoid torso.
