Pangaea, often spelled "Pangæa," was a supercontinent that existed during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras, approximately 335 to 175 million years ago. It brought together almost all of Earth's landmasses into a single, massive continent. The formation of Pangaea significantly influenced global climate, sea levels, and the distribution of plants and animals. Its eventual breakup led to the formation of the continents as we know them today.
