a very large peice of land.
How big can a flash flood be?
it wouldnt be very big flash flood or last very long because of the plants and trees soaking up the water.
It can sometimes kill people and always does property damage. Also floods can cause economic loss and possible famine depending on where in the world it hits and how big and devastating the flood is.
I was in Houston, Texas in July/August 1987 when there were heavy flash floods after thunderstorms in the area. I remember watching the news item on television about the flash flood on the Guadeloupe River. There are lots of popular summer camps in the area in question, often run by Christian organisations, and many children attend these camps during the summer months. A driver attempted to drive his bus, filled with children, across a partly submereged bridge over the River Guadeloupe, which was in full flood. The bus was swept away half way across. The story was big news in the Houston/San Antonio area at the time. Anne West
A flood is virtually any case of large mounts of water moving onto land. A hurricane is a tropical cyclone (i.e has a closed circulation of air) with sustained winds of at least 74 mph (119 km/h). Hurricane that hit land almost always cause flooding, but some hurricanes stay at sea and never threaten land.
in 2007 but it was not a big flood
blah blah blah. no. it depends on how big the flood is or how much water damages the property or area. if it is alot of water, you would expect to have to pay alot!
Depends on the flood, how big is the source it is coming from. If a big lake is flouncing, and it is deep water and homes and/or natural areas are around it then it can impact a large amount of area.
