All refrigerant burns should be treated by a doctor regardless of severity. I have been in the HVAC business as a technician for almost a decade and am now out of the field from injuries and nerve damage from downplaying what I thought and appeared to be a minor injury. Just think about it , depending on the refrigerant it reached temps close to saturation at atmosphere. with most refrigerants this temp. would be in excess of -30*F. Which means the water in your cells and around your nerves probably reached -20*f or lower. SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP! and always use 2 hands while removing your hoses. One to apply pressure to maintain positive seal until threads are free.
How do you treat an air bag burn
The Refrigerant enters the condenser as a high pressured gas, the condenser then condenses that gas and changes it to a liquid form.
To endure that the ONLY gas in the system is refrigerant.
Refrigerant gas. Not natural or propane gas.
The refrigerant itself acts as the medium that carries the gas to the sensor in a halide leak detector. When the refrigerant comes into contact with the halide gas, it picks up traces of the gas and carries them to the sensor for detection.
R134a is a refrigerant gas
superheat gas
Acid
Plasma doesn't reall treat the burn. but it compensates the body for plasma lost through the burn.
the pressure of the refrigerant drops significantly as it passes through the metering device. This sudden pressure drop causes the refrigerant to expand and vaporize, leading to the flash gas phenomenon. This phase change from liquid to gas helps lower the temperature of the refrigerant as it enters the evaporator coil.
In an air-conditioning system, the refrigerant is a low-pressure gas in the evaporator coil. Here, it absorbs heat from the indoor air, causing the refrigerant to evaporate and change into a gas. This low-pressure gas is then transported to the compressor, where its pressure is increased before moving to the condenser.
The device in a refrigeration system that causes the refrigerant to go from a liquid to a gas is the expansion valve. It controls the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator, where it absorbs heat and evaporates into a gas, cooling the surrounding space.
