One of the main reasons for drownings is that parents do not understand the importance of layers of protection. They walk around with the attitude that this could never happen to me and don't put all of the proper layers in place to prevent these horrible tragedies from happening. It takes LAYERS OF PROTECTION, the first and most important is supervision.
