You cannot accurately identify a tornado based on the sound. That said, if you can hear a tornado it is probably already very close. You must take cover immediately. Heat to you basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of your house.
No, I won't. I would get myself evacuated from the tornado area.
It is safest to stay underground if you hear/see a tornado.
The mushrooms are kicking in.
If you can see the tornado
I would not inform the public about an approaching tornado with the internet and phone messages. I would not because usually if there is a tornado coming you lose power in the phone and internet lines as a tornado can go into the power critic. hope that helps.
I would sugggest looking out the window constantly to see if you see a tornado. If you see a swirling cloud that looks like a tornado or hear a sound that sounds like a train, either get into your basement (I would suggest this) or, if you don't have a basement, get away from all windows and in the middle of your house. In ALL situations, bend over on the ground and put your hands covering the top of your head. lean your head against the wall. Wait until you think it is safe and wait for a while. Then go doing your normal stuff.
yes!
it would be very bad because if there is a car coming if you couldn't hear where it is coming from you might be dead by now
There is no way of knowing when the next tornado will be in any given place.
There is no way of knowing that.

If a tornado has formed in the U.S. chances are it will be detected by Doppler radar.
