Specially in remote provinces. they have a power to shape-shift into hideous creatures like cats, dogs, boars, large birds, bats, etc.

They can do it because of the power of Evil.

They say that they pray on babies, pregnant, & sick peoples because they smell so good for them. There is a province associated by aswangs known as Capiz and Siquihor but not all of them are said to be aswang and can shape-shift.

Most of them are only doctor witches.

and there are rumurs that they also roam here in manila as well.
