Poltergeist, the unexplained phenomenon, are mostly that, unexplained.
Many writer of fiction and creators of movies and television shows use poltergeist as "characters" in their creative works. The special effects people do have fun with creating these things for the audiences.
There have be several "scientific" group who have looked into the phenomenon but unfortunately their research has been less "scientific" than is needful to "prove" the existence or non-existence of them.
I have encountered a fair amount of anecdotal evidence, but can not say personally that I have encountered a real poltergeist. Para-normal research is still going on and one day we will know for sure.

The movie you're talking about is called 'Poltergiest'
they could be any where its quite a mystery but poltergiest means noisy ghosts so if you hear knocking which they are known to do get ear plugs lol
a demon wouldnt want to use a camera mostly because of the fact that if you look in the movies (which are not real)demons most likely have claws so therefore a demon couldnt hold it plus on the other hand a dempon would most likely posess someone than take a photo, but if its a real demon your speaking of they possibly could because of a poltergiest
No - his last movie appearance was in Poltergiest: the Legacy in 2000 (I believe). Unless you consider the Celebrity Deathmatch tv show in 1999.
