Let's take that question apart for a minute to try to answer it.

"Are supernatural powers real?"

1. "Are" - auxiliary verb, acting with epistemic modality (examining the existence of something).
2. "supernatural" - adjectival, modifying "powers" - outside of nature or the natural order, existing without clear explanation or understanding of how or why.
3. "powers" - noun, in this case "literal abilities." This is vague, but as imagined by the zeitgeist it may refer to abilities such a telepathic, telekinetic, precognitive, pyrokinetic, biokinetics, aligistics or other abilites. The potential list is huge.
4. "real" - quantitative or quantifiable, provable by scientific or logical means.

Numbers 2 and 4, therein lies the rub. If something is "supernatural" it ineffably defies proof, therefore cannot be demonstrably stated to be real or otherwise.

The long and short of it is that your question cannot be answered.

There are many people who believe that many things are real, and everything imaginable is possible (more on this in a moment). Some who are philosophically minded might even argue that if it has been imagined, it is real. But, if you cannot prove the reality of a thing, what use is it other than to punctuate a debate over the reality of the thing?

Seem a bit circular? It is. Circular arguments do nothing more than keep those who argue in circles busy.

So, on to that "more."

You can believe in whatever you choose. If I choose to believe that human life rises out of some huge, mysterious galactic power grab that led some omnipotent overlord to ancient Earth so he could murder several billion beings by dumping them into a huge active volcano...wait, sounds familiar. The point is, anyone can believe whatever they want. There are many, many organizations and mental health professionals lining up to take your money and further examine your grip on reality just because you choose to build castles in the sky. If you choose to feed their machines, well there is no one to blame but you.

The pragmatist in me says "No, there are no supernatural powers." But, the romantic in me argues, "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." - Hamlet (1.5.167-8).

So, real? It's possible, but highly improbable.
