Not really. They can be classified into some groups.

There's the 4 elements. That's earth, who are down to earth, & knowing how the world rotates. These are Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo. There's air, who are intellectual. These are Libra, Aquarius and Gemini. There's fire, which are fiery, active, energetic. These are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. And there's water, who are emotional, feelings, and intuition. These are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Each element here is intrigued by a certain other one the most. These are fire intrigued by water, earth by fire, air by earth, and water by air. (This corresponds to masculine/feminine mentioned below.)

There's the 3 nodes. That's cardinal, who are active, bossy. These are Capricorn, Libra, Aries and Cancer. There's fixed, who want to keep things as they are, stubborn. These are Taurus, Aquarius, Leo and Scorpio. And there's mutable, who are changeable and unpredictable. These are Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces.

There's masculine and feminine signs. Masculine are the air and fire signs. Libra is partly feminine. Feminine are the water and earth ones. Scorpio is partly masculine.

The 12 signs start with Aries, and end with Pisces. The first 4 have childlike natures. These are Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Cancer. The next 4 have teenager type natures. These are Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio. The next 4 have adult type natures. These are Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.

If having the signs in a circle, starting with Aries, and ending with Pisces (like with an analogue clock, with Aries at 12 and going around to Pisces at 11) - the opposite or polar signs would have sometimes opposite and sometimes harmonious characters. The sign would also often be their opposite inside. That's Aries - Libra, Taurus - Scorpio, Gemini - Sagittarius, Cancer - Capricorn, Leo - Aquarius, and Virgo - Pisces. A certain sign is also intrigued the most by a certain other one (corresponding to that of the elements), which is the next one after the polar sign. Also, no-one is completely their zodiac sign. That is just the sun sign - the main influence (shines through). The other large influences are ascendant and moon sign. There's also e.g. houses, aspects. Even relocating can affect it. A person is actually influenced by all 12 zodiac signs.
