People of some religions do believe in reincarnation, such as those of the Hindu, Jain, Jewish Kabbalah, Sihk faiths, and a variant form of reincarnation in Budhism. But most Christians believe that once a person dies, his fate has irrevocably been decided by the decisions and choices he made during his life. He will either go to heaven or hell. There are no other chances, period. Catholics believe in purgatory, a limbo state where sins can be atoned, partly by the prayers of the living, and eventual salvation will be awarded the deceased.

The concept of Hell, however, is generally not part of the doctrine of faiths that subscribe to reincarnation.
