Sometimes the unconsious mind has been known to manifest its desires/feelings through dreams. Dreams do play an important role in processing information feelings etc that you have been feeling or are beginning to feel.

Mostly I would personally say they do reveal slight insights whether it be an article of clothing or a character or even a subject of a dream.

Dreams are also random and chaotic at the same time so a careful analysis of all possibilities would help. Especially re occurring patterns in dreams or perhaps repeating dreams.

Do more research.

The dreams do not provide any reliable information about anyone else, including the boyfriend, and they do not predict any future events. Depending on the content of the actual dreams, they might express the dreamer's doubts about the boyfriend's character or simply reveal feelings that the dreamer has been denying with her conscious (waking) mind.

What are repeating dreams a sign of?

Repeating dreams indicate a problem that has not been resolved. A common cause is avoidance; the dreamer is trying to avoid conflict or to escape an unpleasant task. The mind creates an enemy, monster, or undefined threatening presence that symbolizes the problem being avoided, and in the dream, the dreamer struggles to escape. When the problem or conflict is resolved in reality, the dream no longer occurs.
