Do the Illuminati control everything

In present day life, no one. They broke up around 1785. The modern, imaginary Illuminati are no more real than unicorns.

Of course, you have as much right to declare yourself an Illuminatus as anyone else. You can be one if you want. But it is very wrong to call someone else one just because you envy them, the way people do these days. That's accusing them of conspiracy-- not something you want to try unless have an unlimited legal budget.

The only Illuminati that exists today is the invention of writers and bloggers who enjoy feeding the imaginations of paranoid and reality-challenged individuals who are unable to grasp real social issues.

Historically the Illuminati was a group of individuals who made up an Enlightenment era secret society which began in 1776 and lasted for about ten years, at the most. Nowadays, the Illuminati is considered to be a group of individuals (unknown and unproven) who supposedly are a part of the New World Order, purportedly attempting to control world politics and economics.

No. The Illuminati broke up around 1785. They are, in modern times, purely an imaginary group. Conspiracy buffs like to pretend there is such a group, for some reason. But aside from such delusions, no one actually believes in the Illuminati.

From what I gathered, the Illuminati officially disbanded 11 years after the formation in 1776.

No. The Illuminati control nothing, and can't since they ceased to exist in 1785. There are a number of organizations who claim Illuminati in their names, however the only thing they tend to control is separating gullible people from their money.
