You make your wish before, then you break it and whoever has the longer half will have their wish come true!
Finding the wishbone traditionally refers to the breaking of the wishbone from a roasted turkey or chicken. It is a superstition that if two people break it and make a wish, the person with the larger piece will have their wish come true.
The longer side of the wishbone get's the wish.
to make a wish on it, the person with the bigger half gets to make the wish
As far as I can tell it's because you and someone else break it together and whoever breaks off the bigger piece gets to make a wish.
Superstition says when you get the largest part of the wishbone you get to make a wish.
cause it is a bone that when you get it you get someone else and the both of you make a wish
It is just said that if you are with someone and try to break the wish bone and both of you wish as you pull it and when it breaks who ever gets the biggest piece of bone your wish will come true!
Two people use a little finger to hold the wishbone (which should have been dried). On both pulling, the person with the longest piece of the wishbone is granted a wish (but must never reveal the wish to anyone!).
cause you break it and the person with the larger piece makes a wish
Wishbone usually stands for a wish or desire. If the wishbone is unbroken it means the wish will be fulfilled in the near future. If the wishbone is broken or cracked, but all of the pieces are still there the wish will eventually come true. However if the wishbone is broken and a piece is missing, it means your wish will go un-granted.
Make a wish if you want; if not, throw away.
In the UK, only the one left holding the longest piece of the wishbone is allowed one wish. The wishbone is dried in front of the fire overnight, and two people curl their little finger round the wishbone, and pull until it snaps in two. You must never reveal your wish!
