Mutual dreams happen when two individuals share common interests and tend to think in similar pattern of symbolism. For example, two football fans who root for the Colts could both have dreams about young horses (colts) in dreams colored with a lot of blue and white. When the two individuals describe their dreams to each other, the similarities tend to become exaggerated and the differences minimized. Our memory of dreams is quite fluid, so it is easy to begin to believe that the dreams were identical. Actual mutual dreams probably are very rare and would be very difficult to authenticate.
