When you start dreaming, take small steps such as changing the color of objects in the dream environment. When you gain such minor controls, look towards expanding them. One such way would entail being more deliberate in how you act in your dreams. Do not allow your subconscious to script the dream. Guide the dream on your own. Concentrate on making deliberate and controlled responses in your actions as opposed to compulsive ones. In essence, the dream state becomes almost no different from real life as far as perception is concerned. When this becomes the case, you can easily say you are now in control of your dreams. You may be wondering how you would be able to remember this when in a lucid dream, since you would more likely be interested in your surroundings, but it probably depends how concentrated you are in the dream. For example, during one lucid dream, I once researched before on how to stay in a lucid dream, then in the dream, I automatically remembered it.
Yes, lucid dreaming simply refers to becoming "lucid" or aware that one is dreaming.
The question probably refers to "lucid dreaming."
a lucid dream is when your aware that your dreaming and sometimes you can control it
Yes! A lot of people (especially children) are able to control their dreams. It is called Lucid Dreaming.

Your dream is based on your thoughts but what happens in the dream you can not control. There is also Lucid Dreaming where one completely controls the dream. This occurs when one becomes aware that they are dreaming and then are able to influence the imagery. Usually, the dreamer will eventually become aware that they are dreaming, but one can also go from a wakened state directly into a lucid dreaming state.
Not much other than that you can control what you want to dream, and that you are one of the few persons who can SOMETIMES, not necessarily always, know that they are dreaming. Some studies have shown that Lucid Dreamers also can know what is happening under anesthesia. Lucid Dreaming can tell you what you want to avoid dreaming, as you change the dream. I personally am a frequent lucid dreamer. It is an interesting experience, and not well studied.
The simple answer to this is NO, absolutely not! Lucid dreaming is not at all dangerous. There have been many, many studies done on lucid dreaming and they all show it to be perfectly safe. However, if a plane crashed into your house while you were sleeping, or something like that, then yes, i suppose you could die while lucid dreaming. In other words, you can not die FROM lucid dreaming. However, like anything, you can die WHILE lucid dreaming.
When you lucid dream, you can control the dream, instead of just going along with it like in a regular dream. You know you are dreaming, and you have the power to make anything you want happen, if only for a few minutes in your own mind.
