How to See a Fairy

(applies to girls only - boys are not able to see fairies)

Human friends can't help but make mortal mistakes... but what if your best friend was not mortal? For centuries fairies have made loving, enthusiastic, and honest friends. Fairies can be difficult to find but with these materials and steps your new little friend will come skipping (or flying) up to you any minute!

Materials

• blue eyes (contacts are acceptable)
• 12 pink carnations (stems MUST be at least 5 inches)
• a purple dress made of flowers with green accents (for recommended costume contact Your Dream Friend ™)
• green elf shoes with purple flowers on the toes (for recommended costume contact Your Dream Friend
• a purple ribbon (16 inches)
• a measuring tape

Steps

1. Put on your dress and shoes. While dressing hum the song of your choice.
2. If it applies to you, put in blue eye contacts (first the left, then the right).
3. Cut off the ends of the flower stems so each stem is exactly 4 inches.
4. Tie the carnation stems together with the purple ribbon. There MUST be a bow.
5. Travel to a rose patch or rose garden.
6. Walk two feet into the rose garden/patch, stop, and sing Faery Song by Lisa Thiel (to listen to the entire song contact Your Dream Friend ™). While singing Faery Song tap your left foot in time with the song.
7. When finished singing Faery Song lay the bouquet of carnations in front of your toes.
8. Wiggle our toes for 20 seconds while humming Faery Song.
9. Take one small step to the left.
10. (By now the fairy is watching you while remaining invisible). Politely say, "I dance in the month of May." Your fairy will have now have revealed herself, at the sight of her bow your head.
11. The fairy will stand in front of the bouquet of carnations, this is a sign of acceptance and friendship. Note: If the fairy does not move, quickly step out of the rose garden/patch, this fairy patch is not safe for you anymore.

Your fairy will only stay in the same place as long as you visit her daily. A fairy's favourite present is a manicure and pedicure at your house. This is perfect girl-to-girl time and your fairy might start to visit your home.
