The first claim was said to have been in 1771, but an actual structure wasnt built until 1775. Then a second building was built in 1779, and various other buildings were added throughout its history until 1948, when the Franciscans began reconstruction on it, finishing by 1952. So, roughly, San Antonio de Padua was under construction for 177 years.
