No, emos are not always depressed. In fact, most of them are NEVER depressed. Being emo does not mean you have to cut yourself, be suicidal, hate your life, or hate other people and shun social activities. That is just a stereotype, and unfortunately, many people think that's what emo is. You can be emo and be happy and funny and nice. Sure, you can be sad sometimes, but that's just because everybody has bad days once in a while. Hope this helps!
this phrase helped me alot emo is not cutting your wrists or always being sad or wanting to kill emo is emotional emo is being yourself to tell you the truth emo is a music genre so next time when you talk about emo learn what emo is first

Because she always wears black, she always tries to look emo. It has nothing to do with her music.
an emo corner in general refers to a place where an emo kid retreats into a corner, feeling left out or excluded. (sometimes other emo kids join them.) by refering to crona's emo corner in soul eater, maybe the creater or whoever came up w/ the idea is refering to how crona was always alone and excluded as a child, thus leading to him having an "emo corner."
