nahh, only losers think that its just a awesomee trend :)
The actual meaning of 'emo' have been lost. It's not all cutting wrists, illegal love, depression and not all-back outfits. Even now, wearing a pair of black chucks, a leopard print top and black hair can land you into being called emo. They think 'emo' is a fasion statement when it's actually a way of life and possibly an mental disorder (depression).
Not really, it's more like a way of life. You could call it a trait, it's sort of like being gay or lesbian, it's the way you live. I happen to know because I am emo, I don't dress like the typical emo, but I am an emo, I dress in black, but with some color. It's a very different way of living
Being Emo is something impossible for anyone to do. Emo does not stand for "emotional". The original version of emo is short for "emotional hardcore", which is a sub-group of punk. No one can be music. Most people mistake being Emo as doing self harm. This is not the case because this is a Depression issue and has nothing to do at all about being "Emo". There are plenty of other people (Unfortunately) that harm themselves and do not belong to this sub culture/group at all. -Sky JensonMost people play around these days and calling people emo for having black nails, or your bangs in front of your face, or wearing alot of black clothes. But truly that has nothing to do with being emo. (which the way i see it, it's every dumb to call someone emo for wearing black and\or having black nails). hope this helped-XxemILYxCX
No, being emo will not make a girl automatically cuter. There are emo girls who are cuter than non-emo girls and the other way round too, being emo really has nothing to do with cuteness at all.
Leona Lewis is not an emo. She is a Pop/RnB singer.. and is in no way associated with being an emo. Although she has released various sad/depressing songs, she is not classed as emo.
No. Being emo is just a way too tell the world that you want to be different. Not all emo folks cut themselves.
no really emo is the way you act, dress and what music you listen to. emo is a label the same way as goth and chav is a label. some people try and say emo is short for emotionally unstable but it's not
In Mandarin, "being emo" can be expressed as "情绪化" (qíngxù huà), which means emotional or moody. Another colloquial way to refer to the emo subculture is "emo" itself, often pronounced the same way as in English (艾摩, ài mò). This term is used to describe the style and attitude associated with the emo genre of music and culture.
Impossible, emo is a way of life, it's a way of thinking. An influence on your music, appearence, attitude, sense of humour, taste in things, emo isn't just lots of eyeliner, black hair and serious faces.
Mainly emo people have long hair(black most of the time) and wear dark clothing, skinny jeans, and black shoes but every person has their way of being emo.
Depends on how you look at it. If you looks at it from the stereotypical view (cutting, depression etc.) then yes. But from the real point of view, it's not bad at all cuz it just means emotional and expressing yourself in a unique way.
Of course you can! Cutting is just a harmful stereotype (if you are going emo be aware that MANY people will accuse you of cutting). So is the whole suicidal/depression thing. Emo means Emotional or emotional hardcore. If you dress emo, but have no real problems then you are a poser, and if you are just in it for the fashion and fashion only I recommend Scene culture rather than emo. For example, I personally became emo because I didn't fit in anyway, so I decided to embrace that fact and show it. I can still be happy, I can still have a laugh with my friends, I can still have fun and wear colours! Essentially, being "Emo" is being misunderstood, and it's a way to recognize kindred spirits in a way, other poets and artists who have been rejected by others too. But seriously, don't cut, it isn't the way out. You will only make things worse for yourself and if you do a little research you will find that it is highly addictive and is only a way to avoid dealing with the real problems. It's a mindset, the things you do and the way you dress. If your just 'Emo' for the fashion, you are actually Scene. Everyone calls me Emo and I get bullied pretty bad. It has actually turned me Emo so don't flaunt it, k?
