Well,it depends on what you mean by "telekinesis"...If you mean the ability to move/levitate objects with your mind, then I would say yes it is impossible,or at least about a million years of evolution away...

However,if you mean to use an object for telekinesis, let's say a telekinesis ray gun for example. That may very well be possible, and not as far off as you think..Scientist's already know how to levitate water molecules using the power of magnetism, anything with water molecules can be levitated, they have levitated a frog (frogs have lots of water in them humans do to and could be levitated also) ,BUT it takes a machine the size of an average bedroom to do it today...So if they can just figure out how to make it smaller while still power full enough,we could one day have a frog levitating ray gun LOL watch out frogs here I come!!! :)

If we can't do it by sheer willforce alone, science could be used as a catalyst to make it possible. As stupid as it sounds, a childrens toy (The Star Wars Force Trainer) has apparently tried to tap into this by transmitting your brain waves in a certain way to turn on a fan which makes a ball levitate (It's not the same thing, I know, but it's look into the possible future). By the looks of it, this doesn't just respond to say, muscle movement because the ball does seem to levitate higher if you are doing something like maths or a puzzle.
