Yes, there is an organization called this. I do not know enough about them to call them a cult but most people around Hinsdale are wary off them and refer to them as such. They have recently sold their property and are moving elsewhere. A strip shopping mall and high density housing will be built on the groups former property which is a very desirable location. I've seen their campus and have meet some of their members. I've not observed, nor heard directly, anything that is strange or cultish about them. Referring to them as a cult without good reason is religious and social discrimination as well as slander. The "cult" label seems to come from the fact they are not a major religion. There are many similar types of facilities in the area associated with major religions that do not get called cults. If you are curious as to the groups values and principles it can probably be found via the web or through contact with the organization. That they are referred to as a cult may be more a factor of Hinsdale's values than any actions or principles of this organization.
A person who leads a cult is often referred to as a cult leader. They typically have a charismatic personality and use manipulation tactics to gain control over their followers.
Anyone could follow the cult of Dionysus in ancient Greece, it was however based originally in Thebes.

The Cult was created in 1983.
enterauge (sp?) its french for " a group of people who follow someone around"
A cult is a small group of people who follow their own religious beliefs. The leader of the cult is the leader who makes and enforces the rules of the cult.
Cult Leader, Organised Crime Boss, National Dictator, or God! :)
Manson would be the first to deny he was the leader of a cult. It sounded much cozier as 'The Family'. But it was without a doubt a cult. His followers were given the standard cult initiation. They were stripped of their worldly possessions, separated from the real world including their families, preached at 24/7, until they could barely think for themselves. All of this is classic brainwashing techniques.
Not anymore than the Episcopal, Presbyterian, or Baptist churches could be called cults.
I don't think Odd Future is an actual cult, but they seem to have gained a cult-like following; wouldn't classify them as a cult, still.
