My advice for you:

A) Don't take dreams seriously.

b) You can always trace a dream back to something that happend to you recenlty. THINK BACK!! For example, I had a dream about Miley Cyrus singing a song about a bra. Then I remebered that i had been at the mall earlier, and i had

1) gone bra shopping

2) seen a poster of Miley Cyrus near the Bras.

See? It's easy. so, sugar, don't panic about the demon. You're OK!

I'm not entirely sure but I have experienced this before but their was no physical pain for me but here are my thoughts. They are probably the ones that use your dreams to harm you and drain your life energy. If you believe in the occult, anyways.

The "demons" in dreams represent evil envisioned in physical form. They are symbols, not actual beings, in the same sense that Uncle Sam is a symbol representing the United States, and the white dove is a symbol representing peace.
