What is a Shriner?

A Shriner is a member of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. They are most known for their fez hats, little parade cars, and the millions of dollars they spend annually on the children's hospitals.

Shriners are Masons who continuned upward in the organization. They are some of the truly benevolent people. Their charities are truly charities with dontions going complete to the cause for which collected. They sponsor children's hospitals, aid veterans, etc. Noone in this organization gets big bucks as does chairman and such of the usual charitiable organizations. A most worthy group, I speak freely though I am not one, I just investigate things.

To correct a possible misunderstanding, Shriners are not "upward in the organization" of Masonry. They are a club formed of Freemasons, devoted to charity and having fun. A Shriner is not considered to be more knowledgeable or to have any more authority than any other Master Mason.
