Satanism is absolutely nothing like what has most likely been described to you. The majority of satanists are LaVeyan satanists. That is basically Atheism, but proclaims the path of reason and symbolic worship; in a religion resembling manner. However Theistic satanists and spiritual satanists worship Satan, the four rulers of Hell and the demons as literal, physically existing beings. Certain Satanists, do, in fact, kill people, but in an unrelated matter to their religion. There are no rituals that involve taking the life of, or sacrificing an animal or even a human being. The closest thing, to such, is writing in your own blood (which is done in the dedication ritual) but that is nowhere near it. Anyone who has said these untrue things about Satanism has told this by the Christian churches. They have driven people away from Satanism for thousands of years because they want to control your beliefs, when they are able to do this, they have almost complete power over you.
