I'm going for a purple color motif on my wedding this April 2011. I don't believe that there is a lucky color motif. I pray to God instead and prepare my heart for a lifetime commitment as for me, it is more important than relying on picking a lucky color.
People often consider things like four-leaf clovers, horseshoes, and rainbows to be symbols of luck. Additionally, some cultures believe in lucky numbers, colors, or animals. Ultimately, what is considered lucky can vary widely between individuals and cultures.
Many cultures over the years have tried to associate certain numbers as lucky or unlucky, with no evidence at all. e.g. 13 people at the Last supper, so 13 is (apparently) unlucky. I do not believe in luck, I believe in probability. Your birthdate is neither lucky or unlucky.
In many cultures a grasshopper is considered to be lucky. They are the Chinese symbol of good luck and fortune.
