What role do the Gods in Hinduism have in reincarnation?

Reincarnation has to do with dharma and kharma within that hindu. If someone has good kharma and good dharma, then they will live a good afterlife in the heavens. If not then they will not have a good and healthy afterlife!

REINCARNATION:

Hindus believe that to attain Moksha they have to prevent unending cycles of reincarnation.

THE ACTUAL MEANING OF REINCARNATION:

To understand the relationship between Reincarnation and Hindu gods we must realize that Reincarnation is symbolic of transformation of an activity every time it is repeated. It doesn't mean that we are born again and again.

CAUSES OF REINCARNATION/ TRANSFORMATION:

1. Increase or decrease in availability of time

2. Interaction with other activities

3. Change of the god we are depending on.

HINDU GODS AND REINCARNATION:

Like every activity of life, all Hindu gods, including the supreme Hindu god Brahman, are made of Saguna Brahman (facilitating force) and Nirguna Brahman (retarding force) only.

There are seven basic Hindu gods.

They are,

1. Indra - god of dreaming

2. Shakti - god of illusion

3. Brahma - god of creativity

4. Vishnu - god of stabilization

5. Shiva - god of determination

6. Shani - god of status alteration

7. Yama - god of compulsion

The nature of the retarding force in the seven gods is different. Therefore, change of god would result in transformation of the activity.

It is for this reason that to simplify attainment of Moksha we select just one god, either Shiva or Krishna incarnation of Vishnu.

However, to attain absolute Moksha even change of god shouldn't lead to transformation of the activity, a next to impossible task.

in Hinduism Reincarnation (punarjanma) play very important role. Reincarnation (punarjanma) make people believe in The Law of Cause and Effect (karma) & prevent them from doing bad deeds.
