There are two schools of thought when it comes to compatibility with Gemini. Gemini (an air element) would first be attracted to other air elements (Aquarius, Gemini, Libra) because they would initially understand each other quite well. It was originally believed that after that air elements would be attracted to the fire elements (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) but sometimes this can cause too much energy within a relationship.

The other school of thought is that air and earth elements (Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo) both address life situations with logic first and emotion second while fire and water elements address life with emotion first and logic second. Neither method is superior over the other. They also tend to be fairly opposite in energy level and therefore lend to the relationship a variety of positive traits.
