The Whatly House in San Diego is another and also in San Diego is the Hotel Del Coronado where there is a ghost. The Stanley in CO is another haunted hotel and King used it in his book the Shinning. There are books listing these places if you want to go and stay in a haunted location.

Tipperary and Cork are both large counties, with lots of places to stay and lots of places of interest. So it would be impossible to say which is the best to stay in. It would depend on things like where you want to go, what you want to do, what you want to see, how much you can afford, when you might be coming and many other things. You will find lots of great places to stay in both counties.
Some people believe in ghosts, some people don't. No one really knows how many ghosts are seen in haunted places. If you want to see ghosts then i recommend Gettysburg Pennsylvania. I live there and i see ghosts about every day.
