Why were horoscope signs created?

Humans have always been looking for explanations as to why stuff happens, and how to predict what's gonna happen. Since the stars and planets (the heavelny bodies) are big and mysterious, the leap to thinking they could influence human lives weren't that big.

Horoscope signs were created between 1800 - 1700 B.C. These were created to correlate simple, basic problems such as famine, death, or war with the positions of the stars and the planets.
