"Clairsentient"?

In any case, controlling the emotions of others, being able to read minds and being able to see the future are talents that do not exist.

The truth of this can be seen in a simple thought experiment:

1. The asker seems concerned.

2. If any such child existed, the government would find cause to have that child "secured" for the rest of their miserably over-controlled life.

3. Yet the child involved apparently did not telepathically know of the concern, or change the emotion from concern to joy, or predict that the asker would reveal the child's talent on line.

See? The "magic" of logic shows that none of those talents exist.

Your child is a clairsentient or can control others' emotions telepathically and can see the future what do you do?

"Clairsentient" is not a word. It's a hybrid of two different words: "clairvoyent" and "sentient." "Sentient" essentially means "thinking." A sentient being would be a thinking being. All humans are sentient, so this part of the hybrid word is irrelevant. It's difficult to nail down the meaning of "clairvoyent," because it is often used in deceptive ways, but it usually refers to an ability to perceive future events in the present. Such a thing is impossible for the very simple reason that future events have not occurred and will not occur until they do. It's fun to imagine having this ability, but if it were possible to see future events before they actually happen, physicists and philosophers would have a lot of explaining to do. The questioner adds to "clairsentient" an "or." This is an interesting shift, because it suggests that the questioner does not quite believe what they have just asked. The questioner offers alternatives, apparently aware that the statement, "Your child is a clairsentient" is likely to be challenged. The last part of the question ("...and can see the future") refers to clairvoyance, which was already in evidence. The section immediately after the "or" is odd: "...can control others' emotions telepathically." Why would a child wish to do this, even if it were possible? I hate to be overly-cynical here, but this sounds exactly like what the Vulcan officer was doing for Sarek. That's right: I think this concept was lifted from a Star Trek episode.
