I'm not sure I understand the question. Boston was named back in the 1600s. Most of the original cities in what became the United States have historical names that are tied to the founding of these places. Nelson Mandela was widely admired in Boston, especially by young people who were involved in organizations that protested South Africa's apartheid government.
