If you just recork it I'd say you have up to 2 days after opening to drink it. That said, there are some interesting gadgets out there that can help you keep wine longer. One of which is a spray where a harmless gas goes in and protects the wine. Another will suck the air out of the wine bottle. There are quite a few things out there that can help.

In both cases it protects wine from air, which is what causes wine to spoil.
