Of course you can drink it. However, you could get sick. When I say, "You can drink it," it means that you still have the ability to drink it. You could say, "Can you eat a block of metal?" Of course you can, it just might be poisonous, or taste bad, or be to hard to digest, or be to sour for your tongue, or anything of the sort.

Drank a can of V8 yesterday (January, 2011) and discovered today when looking at the next can that the date on bottom is Apr262007. No ill effects but I do not plan to consume the second can. Best before and expiry dates are different.
