The ingredients however are noted on every container as a matter of US Federal law: Carbonated water - H2O infused with CO2 High fructose corn syrup - liquid corn sugar Caramel color - caramelized sugar in a water suspension (gives colas their dark color) Sugar - beet or cane sugar in granulated form. Phosphoric acid - calcium phosphate treated with sulfuric acid added to provide a sharp citrus taste. Caffeine - xanthine alkaloid derived from a number of plants that acts as a central nervous stimulant. Citric acid - calcium citrate salt treated with sulfuric acid to produce a white powder that adds a citric taste. Natural flavors - plant extracts or derivatives used to flavor the product, perhaps kola nut., perhaps additional flavors.

However, Pepsi is a mixture, thus it does not have any definite formula. However, it contains very weak Carbonic Acid, which can react with other bases to form Carbonate salts.

H2CO3 + 2NaHCO3 = Na2CO3 + 2CO2 + 2H2O

(Carbonic Acid reacts with Baking Soda, which contains aminly Sodium Bi-Carbonate, to form Sodium Carbonate along with Carbon-Di-Oxide and Water)
