Yes. Lemon juice can retard hair growth. The first and second time you will get some ache but after that you will get affect of of the lemon
In a US Patent for a hair growth inhibitor, the two main ingredients are citric acid (20%) and sodium chloride - salt (20%). Lemon juice contains citric acid but no electrolyte (salt) to make it elecrically conductive and therefore effctive. My next step will be to mix citric acid and salt in a moisturising lotion, aloe vera gel or similar and see how it works. The ingredients should be gently heated to aid dissolution and then allowed to cool to room temperature.
The acidic quality of lemon juice can lighten the hair slightly when exposed to sunlight. Hair should be dry so that it can absorb the lemon juice properly.

Well, this is the way I use it, and it makes my hair really shiny, soft, and tangle-free: First, shampoo your hair as you normally would, then, after rinsing out all your shampoo, take about 1 cup of lemon juice and lather it into your hair. Rinse all the lemon juice out, and then condition your hair. Rinse out the conditioner, dry your hair, and your hair should be really shiny and soft. Hope this works for you! :)
Put Lemon juice, or Sun-In in damp hair and then blow dry it, repeat until it gets as light as you want.
