It may be genetic, especially if you have black hair. White hairs are much more noticeable in dark hair any way. Stress can take nutrients that your hair needs from your body. Pantothentic acid supplements have been shown to restore hair back to its natural color. There was an experiment done by scientists trying to prove it was a vitamin years ago. The mice they used were already gray (they were black when young) and the side effect of the pantothetic acid was that their fur turned back to the black color. I have had two white-haired uncles that took Shaklee vitamins and their hair was white for over a decade and turned salt-and-pepper within a few months of taking those vitamins, and they had pantothetic acid in them.
