You can make pretty much any smoothie with yogurt and fruit. Sometimes milk is added for a more liquid texture. All you have to do is pick your favorite yogurt and fruit and then blend them together until the fruit is well-blended. Although fruit is the main flavor additive, vegetables can be used as well. You can pretty much make a smoothie out of anything you wish.

Instructions:

  1. Start with a high quality blender.
  2. Add liquid first. This can be water, milk, yogurt, or fruit juice.
  3. Add something frozen, whether ice, frozen juice, or frozen fruit.
  4. Add fresh or canned fruit or vegetables to taste.
  5. Add any extras, like spices, peanut butter, protein powder, powdered vitamins, or whatever your heart desires.
  6. When you start to blend, use a low speed. It takes time to swirl everything around. Let your blender work up momentum to move the larger chunks of fruit to the blades to chop them up as finely as you want them.
  7. Gradually increase speed to high as this happens.

If you start too fast or turn up the speed too quickly, you risk making a big air bubble around the blades and everything will stick to the sides of the container and not blend.
