According to an article in the Lancet by Dr. Jurgen Rhem; about 4% of all deaths globally are directly related to alcohol. This includes traffic fatalities, falling injuries, and medical conditions like liver cirrhosis; among others.

This statistic includes all forms of alcohol; there are no statistics kept about deaths just related to beer. However beer is the most common type of alcohol consumed worldwide; it would probably have a significant role in the majority of these deaths.
