All animal life can die as a result of drinking water. It is a question of consuming too much, and what the lethal level is for specific forms of animal life and individuals.
Consumption of too much water is more commonly known as water intoxication. Water intoxication is also known as over-hydration, hyper-hydration, or (inaccurately) water poisoning.
Over-consumption of water can cause a disruption in neuro-function that is the result of imbalance of electrolytes in the body and can be fatal.
