A beverage is anything you drink, normally an aqeuous solution (e.g. Coca-Cola, lemonade, wine).

From what I read, beverages are mainly liquids for the consumption of human entity. Although most beverages, including juice, soft drinks, and carbonated drinks, have some form of water in them, water itself is often not classified as a beverage, and the word beverage has been recurrently defined as not referring to water. There are two types of beverages: Alcoholic and non-Alcoholic Beverages
